"We also now want to encourage people to advocate a cosmopolitan society in a courageous and committed manner," says Bernd Kruppa, Chairman of the Club, explaining the objective of the event at the Leipzig Market. In order to make the commitment of the many more transparent and therefore reinforce it, the "Courageous in Leipzig" Prize will be presented again this year in honour of exemplary civil courage.
The ska group Yellow Umbrella and the band Keimzeit will take part in this year's concert. In order to support the idea of courage, Clueso will also play some songs together with the band and perform a short, exclusive acoustic set. Yellow Umbrella, however, are old acquaintances who gave a clear musical signal at the start of the year in Dresden.
Admission to the concert will of course be free.
