It is first and foremost citizens who will benefit from the new shelters. In future there will be more shelters, particularly on the outskirts of the city: After the conversion, 900 stops will be equipped with shelters compared to 670 previously. Comfortable benches with bamboo overlay and modern LED timetable displays improve the quality of the stay. The modern shelters with green or solar roofs also help to protect the climate in Leipzig.
There will be a full service at tram and bus stops during the conversion work. It may be necessary to temporarily move the entry point by a few metres at some stops. The negative impact on public transport users should therefore be kept to a minimum.
