All exhibitions will be open during this period, accompanied by guided tours, events for children, an onstage programme and opportunities for visitors to participate in a range of activities.
Join in and be creative
Visitors both young and old can go on a treasure hunt or, as detectives, carry out investigations within the museum. Those who feel like being creative can choose between origami, painting on porcelain, Indian block printing, pouring soap, working with felt or embossed printing. In the sound laboratory both children and adults can experiment and try out a number of different instruments, or listen to readings of fairy stories.
Leipzig goldsmith Erika Schäfter will demonstrate how silver is formed, stamped and worked. Further attractions are an Ethiopian coffee ceremony and a Chinese tea ceremony at the teahouse.
Art bazaar
The bazaar is taking place at the Grassi for the ninth time, with twenty international exhibitors transforming the foyer of the museum into a diverse and fascinating market featuring art and artistic craftwork.
