At the market in Petersstraße, Salzgässchen, at the Nikolaikirchhof and the Naschmarkt more than 100 stallholders are offering their wares. The culinary hub will be the market square, where Leipzig restaurateurs present themselves with a variety of regional dishes. There are also wooden and gift articles, toys and fine varieties of vinegar and oil.
Onion plaits, plants and bulbs for autumn flower beds, baskets of various sizes as well as a wide selection of dried flower arrangements, plus suitable ceramics, await plant and ceramic lovers, mainly at the Nikolaikirchhof. This year, the "harvest crown", a lavishly designed harvest festival fountain, will once again assure autumnal flair. Fruit, vegetables, cereals, flowers and much more are displayed decoratively.

On September 22 and 23, 2018, the Leipzig City Association of Allotment Gardeners will also present themselves at the Nikolai churchyard and provide advice on all aspects of gardening. Children can do handicrafts, paint and build nesting boxes there.

Arts and crafts in Salzgäßchen
The artisan scene from the region and the whole of Germany traditionally meets in Salzgäßchen. Experienced artisans and also novices invite you to exchange ideas, to browse and buy. The highlight of the Heureka market are the hands-on and recycling workshops of the Naunhofer Kranwerk. Here children can weave baskets, work on wood in the children's carpentry, make felt works from raw wool, turn skipping and decorative ropes in the rope workshop and create works of art in the children's printing workshop. Most raw materials are "used discarded objects" that are given a new lease of life.
Physical wellbeing and entertainment
Heureka's rustic gastronomy takes care of your physical wellbeing. Of course, cabaret is also part of the programme and on the weekends the harvest band plays such favourites as "In Validus", or the "Kranwerkskapelle Padam - at a gallop through life".
More than 20 organ grinders from all over Europe are also expected in the city centre from September 21 to 23 , 2018, as the Market Days are also the occasion for the 11th International Organ Competition. International barrel organ meetings in Leipzig. With their instruments they bring additional market flair into the streets and alleys.
