All visitors are invited to the opening of the event marked by the traditional tapping of the Ur Krostitzer Fassbier barrel on the market stage at 5.30pm on 27 September 2019. The market stalls will still open at 10am on this day.
The market serves as the event hub with the adjacent areas around Petersstraße and Salzgäßchen as well as Nikolaikirchhof and parts of Naschmarkt joining in too. Visitors will be able to stroll past craft and drinks stalls on Salzgäßchen to the sound of medieval music. A colourful stage programme adds to the diversity of the Market Days. Every year at the start of autumn, local and visiting artists of all genres bring their own musical touch to the city centre.
