Lord Mayor Burkhard Jung, Deputy Mayor for Construction Dorothee Dubrau, Christoph Heil, Managing Director of OTTO HEIL GmbH & Co KG, and Arnauld Ahlborn, authorized representative of the investor INDUSTRIA LIVING kicked it off with a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony. Already in 2015, the open-air facilities and the water connection between Karl Heine Canal and Lindenau Harbour were opened, and thus the development of a new part of Leipzig was completed. In June 2016, the investors of the first marketing phase together with the Lord Mayor laid the foundation for the new city quarter, and the owner-occupant projects started.
Various new construction projects are emerging at the Lindenau Harbour
The Lindenau Harbour has long been the first large-scale new construction project in apartment buildings in Leipzig. On the previously undeveloped property, ten different residential housing projects in the rental and property markets will emerge in the coming years. "With the Lindenau Harbour, we as a city set the course for a growing Leipzig as early as 2008. "With a careful and purposeful development, we have succeeded in demonstrating how quality, diversity and economic success can go hand-in-hand ." Lord Mayor Jung is convinced of the new city section. Deputy Mayor for Construction Dorothee Dubrau added: "Even with the change of investors, it has been possible to maintain the quality of the design from the competition. The buildings will stand for high utilisation and quality of life, and will revitalise the whole neighbourhood. "
Surroundings
In the area itself, a children's playground, restaurants, and easy access to local amenities will ensure a high level of urban living quality. The adjacent green and open spaces, as well as the bodies of water, which are superbly connected via new footbridges, invite you to stroll, relax, and participate in sporting activities on your doorstep. Likewise, the inclusion of rent-related housing offers for further product differentiation is also being examined by LESG, the trustee for restructuring.
