Easter Bunny Special
Easter bunnies will be out and about in Belantis up until 12 April 2015. Real rabbits and street theatre actors dressed in rabbit costumes can be cuddled and photographed. Between 3 and 6 April 2015 every child will also be able to search for the thousands of Easter eggs hidden in the amusement park.
New attraction in Belantis: "Cobra des Amun Ra"
The "Cobra des Amun Ra" rollercoaster was recently unveiled in Belantis. Now located directly adjacent to the pyramid is a 16-metre-high rollercoaster which takes guests on a ride in the "Valley of the Pharaohs" at a speed of 50 kph. Even young ones can enjoy this thrilling experience. Children aged 4 and over and measuring more than 1 metre are allowed to go on the rollercoaster.
At a cost of €3 million, the project represents one of the largest investments in the history of the amusement park located in the southern part of Leipzig.
Changed opening hours
The increase in the number of visitors - 10% more in 2014 compared with the previous year - is also reflected in the opening days and times. In 2015 the amusement park will be open 44 days more than in 2014.
The daily opening hours also still depend on the particular weekday, the holiday period or the low season. At weekends, in the high season and during holidays in Saxony, Belantis will be open daily at least from 10.00 to 18.00.
During the summer holidays in Saxony, the amusement park will be open every Saturday for the first time up until 21.00. The Halloween event at Belantis on 30 and 31 October 2015 will mark the end of the 2015 season.
New price graduation and special tickets
Children aged up to 5 will now basically have free admission to the amusement park while children aged up to 10 will have to pay €27.90 with effect from this season. All other visitors will be charged €29.90 for a day ticket.
Afternoon tickets and cheaper tickets bought in advance are another new option. From 14.50 on every opening day, a cheaper afternoon ticket can be purchased at a cost of €14.50 per person. Anyone who plans in advance to visit Belantis and orders tickets beforehand via the Internet can also save money.
Erwin Linnenbach, who took up the post of Managing Director at the start of 2015, is intending to extend the amusement park still further and will announce an even larger number of theme days which will offer much more variety and excitement in Belantis.
